What Should We Do For Our 20th Year?

August 14, 2025 By Pam Pulizzi

I’ve always loved running events. From kids’ birthday parties to friends’ surprise parties. I enveloped it even more when we started our own company and had work-related events.

I often describe to people that planning those big events was sort of like Christmas. It was so exciting when the day finally arrived. I always enjoyed seeing all the hard work come together and all the people finally show up. Year over year there were so many people I couldn’t wait to hug!

The same is very true for our annual golf outing. We have so many golfers whom I only see on the big event day. We’re so lucky for all of their support. It’s a true natural high as the day progresses. And this year was no exception. We had 130 people on the course enjoying the day.

Once it’s done, there may be a moment of sadness, but then it’s the excitement of planning for the next one. But then I realized the next one is a pretty big deal. Our 20th year. I think we should do something extra special that recognizes all of our donors and supporters, and also educate people more on the great need out there for speech therapy and communication devices.

Can you help us with ideas? In brainstorming, the sky is the limit. So it could be a fun contest we could do on the course. It could be a fun promotion to get new people to the event, or it could be how we can highlight our recipients. There are no bad ideas. You can comment here, or on our Facebook page, or email me! Thanks!
