The Orange Effect Foundation recently awarded $29,828 to 13 children and young adults across the United States with speech disorders. Grants are awarded after a thorough review process by dedicated members of the Orange Effect Board of Directors.
The grants awarded in this first quarter of 2026 support weekly speech therapy, speech camps, and speech device purchases. These grants are made possible by community support. Participants and donors of events like the 100 Holes of Golf Marathon, OEF Golf for Autism, and OEF Night at the Races contribute to these efforts.
“It’s about investing in their futures and empowering them to express themselves confidently.”
Melissa Meehan, OEF Board Member
“Investing in the communication needs of children and young adults with speech disorders is not just about providing therapy or devices; it’s about investing in their futures and empowering them to express themselves confidently,” said Melissa Meehan, Orange Effect Foundation Board Member. “The grants awarded this quarter represent our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of these individuals, and we’re grateful for the ongoing support of our community in helping us achieve this mission.”
With this quarter’s grants, the Orange Effect Foundation has funded 516 children in 43 states. Grants have purchased 146 speech devices and more than 8,880 hours of speech therapy.
The next deadline to submit a grant application is May 1, 2026. Information about the application process and upcoming events can all be found at: www.theorangeeffect.org.
