Father’s Day always makes me pause … not just as a dad, but as someone who’s witnessed firsthand what it means to fight for a child’s future.
When our oldest child was diagnosed on the autism spectrum, Pam and I faced the fear that every parent dreads: the unknown. Would our child speak? Connect? Play? We didn’t know. What we did know was that we’d do anything to help. That journey led us to speech therapy services like the ones the Orange Effect Foundation now delivers to families across the country.
This month, we celebrate more than just dads. We celebrate resilience. We celebrate the parents, caregivers, and supporters (YOU) who give kids the gift of communication. There’s no greater power than helping a child find their voice.
I’m working on a new book. In it, I talk about choosing your own path … breaking free from systems that don’t serve you and building something better. That’s what OEF does. We’re not waiting for the system to catch up. We’re acting. We’re investing directly in children who need support now, when it matters most.
So thank you. I’m grateful. Not just for my own family’s journey, but for the role you play in helping other families like ours.
Let’s keep building a future where every child has the chance to be heard.
With gratitude,
Joe Pulizzi
