Remember, You are Just ONE Person

December 22, 2022 By Pam Pulizzi

Finding the Perfect Gift

I love the holidays. I love everything about it. I love how my house changes with the decorations, I love trying to find just the perfect gift for friends and loved ones. I love baking as much as I can find plastic containers for and I love seeing everyone at parties and meals. It really is a wonderful time of the year.

What’s the catch? Well, let’s be honest. It can be REALLY stressful. There is so much pressure from society to do “all the things” and since we are being real, that Santa guy often has a very high standard.

Parents are amazing human beings. They often function on little sleep, they generally put themselves last on the hierarchy of people they take care of, and they put a lot of pressure on themselves to make things great for others.

Be Present in The Moment

So this is just a gentle reminder to enjoy the moments. Stop once in a while to look around and enjoy the people and gifts in your life.

You probably hear over and over, ‘it goes so fast’. I’m here to tell you it is true. As you read this, my two kids are coming home from university and I couldn’t be happier. While I am so glad they are out of the house and growing into adults, I miss them terribly.  Besides, who else is going to eat all the above mentioned baking!

Happy Holidays!
