The Orange Effect Foundation (OEF) recently awarded $24,289 to 11 children and young adults across the United States with speech disorders. This quarter’s grants were awarded after a thorough review process by dedicated members of the Orange Effect Board of Directors.
“We’re delighted to announce the recent allocation of grant funds by the Orange Effect Foundation to support children and young adults across the United States struggling with speech disorders.” said Krissy Leskovec, Orange Effect Foundation Program Director. “This quarter’s grants demonstrate our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those facing communication challenges.”
Fourth-quarter 2023 grants were awarded by the Orange Effect Foundation to fund speech therapy or to purchase speech devices. The Orange Effect Foundation’s grants are drawn from the generous support of the community, including participants in and donors of the 100 Holes of Golf Marathon, the OEF Golf for Autism, and the OEF Night at the Races.
With this quarter’s grants, the Orange Effect Foundation has funded 399 children in 39 states. Grants have purchased 104 speech devices and more than 7,400 hours of speech therapy. The next deadline to submit a grant application is February 1, 2024. Information about the application process and upcoming events can all be found at www.theorangeeffect.org.
