The Orange Effect Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that children with speech disorders receive the therapy and equipment they need. Our mission is to empower children to communicate effectively, giving them the tools to succeed in life.
The Orange Effect Foundation recently awarded $25,074 to 14 children and young adults across the United States with speech disorders. Grants are awarded after a thorough review process by dedicated members of the Orange Effect Board of Directors.
The grants awarded in this second quarter of 2024 support weekly speech therapy, speech camps, and speech device purchases. These grants are made possible by community support. Participants and donors of events like the 100 Holes of Golf Marathon, OEF Golf for Autism, OEF Night at the Races, and OEF Vocal Chords contribute to these efforts.
“As a board member, I am continuously inspired by the profound impact our grants have on the lives of children and young adults with speech disorders. The community’s unwavering support allows us to provide essential resources, making communication possible for those who need it most.” – Kristin Erbacher, Orange Effect Foundation Board Chair.
With this quarter’s grants, the Orange Effect Foundation has funded 432 children in 39 states. Grants have purchased 116 speech devices and more than 7,800 hours of speech therapy.
The next deadline to submit a grant application is August 1, 2024. Information about the application process and upcoming events can all be found at www.theorangeeffect.org.
