Can you imagine doing the same thing over and over for 12 hours? That’s what our golfers did on May 12. They completed 100 holes of golf to raise money for kids who want to communicate.
Three of the golfers joined our 500 club. Meaning that this is their fifth year participating in the event. Others have participated every single year so that means 600. Wow.
I was there for 12 hours, but not golfing. I was volunteering and making sure the participants got lots of fuel and water. But during the day I do things like read my book for a little bit or visit with the other volunteers. It’s still a long, tiring day and I’m not swinging a golf club nonstop.
Throughout the day, though, I admire the commitment and determination of the 34 people who participated in the day. And I am so grateful for their help in bringing awareness to the importance of early intervention for speech therapy.
This year they succeeded in raising the highest amount ever for this event for our organization! We are so grateful and hope they know what a difference they are making.
Thanks to all of you who supported them! Click here to see who participated and how they did!
