#GivingTuesday – Ways to Give to Fight Speech Disorders

This year the #GivingTuesday movement is expected to deliver almost $500 million in funding to amazing charities all over the world. At Orange Effect Foundation, we’ve been surprised how critical #GivingTuesday has become for our little organization.

Even a donation of $50 has a major impact on a child dealing with a speech disorder (in general, one hour of speech therapy is between a $50 and $100 investment for a family). Our goal at OEF is to fund consistent speech therapy for a child over time. Any break in regular speech therapy can have major consequences for the child, their growth, and they way they deal with their speech disorder.

Ways to Give to OEF

Almost every penny you donate to OEF goes directly to the children and families who are dealing with speech disorders (The OEF Board approves a specific case, and then we deliver the funds directly to a certified speech therapist to deliver services).

Here’s how you can give to this effort:

  • Direct Contribution – Yes…the old fashioned way. You can donate directly to Orange Effect Foundation at any time.
  • Donate Your Birthday – Instead of donating directly, or asking for donations now, donate your birthday! This means you are committing to raising funds on your birthday in lieu of gifts. Click here to get started.
  • Use Amazon Smile when Shopping – In addition to a direct donation please consider selecting the Orange Effect Foundation as your charity of choice on Amazon.com.

And if, for whatever reasons, you cannot donate at this time, just sharing this post on social media makes a profound difference. Thank you for all that you do.
